Your Daily Commute

Commuting involves travelling a distance to and from a location on a regular basis. For some people a commute may involve daily train travel or car trips during rush hour. Usually commuting occurs because, for whatever reason, the individual lives and works in different cities. For example, a Brampton real estate agent who lives in Halton Hills will likely have to commute to work each day.

For various reasons many people have to commute frequently. Perhaps you are a Chiropractor in Toronto who doesn't want to live in the city. You may choose to move to a smaller town and commute to work each day. This is a common occurrence for people who work in large cities, particularly people who have families with young children. Often parents of young children can only find work in a large city but want to raise their children in a smaller, more rural environment.

Another reason that people may choose to commute is due to property prices. If you are an event planner in Toronto you might choose to live in Guelph and commute to work do to the lower property prices in Guelph. This is also common with families who may not be able to afford the purchase price of a house in the city and who don't want to rent an apartment or live in a condo. For these people the daily commute is a small price pay for the benefit of living in an affordable house.

On rare occasions you will actually find people who live in the city and commute to work. There are in fact some people who thrive on city life, they love the condo living, night life and the energy of a city, but for various reasons these people hold jobs in other, smaller communities. This is an uncommon situation though, you are much more likely to meet someone who lives in Guelph and works offering table rental in Toronto.

For some people commuting is not a hardship, they value the fact that they spend some time in a large city and some time in a quieter rural area. For these people the time spent commuting is well worth the ability to experience both urban and rural living; these people enjoy the stimulation of the city during the business day but welcome the opportunity to relax in a rural setting with their families at the end of a long day. While these people do exist, you will find that most people who have a daily commute, even if it is the best situation for them, will look with envy at the King West dentist who lives just a few minutes from his office. Whether you live near your work or you choose to commute just pick the best option for you and your family.
